Lauren Christine German (born November 29, 1978) is an American actress, known for her roles as Agent Lori Weston in the television series Hawaii Five-0, Beth in the 2007 film Hostel: Part II and Eva in 2011 film The Divide. She starred in the NBC drama Chicago Fire as Leslie Shay from 2012 to 2014. In 2016 she will be starring in Lucifer as LAPD homicide detective, Chloe Dance.
Biography
German's first work was on stage in Peter Pan and Oliver. In 2000, she made her feature film debut in Down to You where she had a small role as a lovestruck woman.
The second film German co-starred in was A Walk to Remember with Shane West and Mandy Moore as Belinda, whom Landon Carter (West) breaks up with. Then she appeared in Dead Above Ground, A Midsummer Nightâs Rave, and The Lone Ranger, in which she had both smaller and bigger roles. In 2003, she auditioned to star in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre but it went to Jessica Biel and German won the role of The Hitchhiker.
German co-starred in the films Piggy Banks, Simple Lies, Standing Still, It Is Fine! Everything Is Fine., and What We Do Is Secret, the latter as original Germs drummer and subsequent The Go-Go's singer Belinda Carlisle. She starred in the horror film Hostel: Part II, produced by Quentin Tarantino. She also starred in the French apocalypse thriller The Divide. German starred in Hawaii Five-0 as Agent Lori Weston. In 2012, she began starring in the NBC drama Chicago Fire as Leslie Shay, one of the paramedics.
German will be starring as a LAPD homicide detective, Chloe Dance, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer, in upcoming new TV series Lucifer scheduled to premiere in 2016 on Fox. a loose adaptation of the DC comic book series Lucifer.
In 2001, German was selected as the world's 47th sexiest woman in Maxim.
