Isaac Hempstead-Wright (born 9 April 1999) is an English actor. He began his professional acting career at the age of ten. He is best known for his role as Bran Stark on the HBO series Game of Thrones, which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination as Best Young Supporting Actor in a TV Series.

Isaac Hempstead-Wright was born 9 April 1999. He had no interest in acting until he joined a drama club to avoid playing football on Saturday mornings during the cold months of the year.

Hempstead-Wright started acting in commercials, and studied acting at the Kent Youth Theatre in Canterbury, England.

Hempstead-Wright made his screen debut in the horror film, The Awakening. But his big break came when he was cast as Bran Stark in the hit US television series Game of Thrones. He was part of the initial starring cast and remained member of the starring cast for the second, third, and fourth seasons which earned him two Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations as Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in Drama Series at the 18th and 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards. To date he has appeared in all four broadcast seasons but executive producer David Benioff addressed the rumours circulating the internet and confirmed in November 2014 that Isaac won't reprise the role in Season 5.

While working on Game of Thrones, Hempstead-Wright also found time to reunite with his Awakening co-star, actress Rebecca Hall, for the 2013 British-American crime thriller Closed Circuit.

In February, 2014 Laika announced that Hempstead-Wright would provide the voice for the character Eggs in the American 3D stop motion animated fantasy-comedy film The Boxtrolls based on the novel Here Be Monsters! by Alan Snow.

Currently, Hempstead-Wright lives with his family in England. It has also been reported that Isaac is saving his Game of Thrones salary to pay for university where he hopes to gain a PhD.
